THE ATHLETE STORY DOCUSERIES
Olympic Gold Medallist Kerri Pottharst & Cuppa of Life Founder Luke Cook are going LIVE to bring the athletes to your living room during the Games That Would’ve Been.
Filling the void of the postponed Tokyo Olympic Games Kerri hosted 2 Australian Sporting Legends EVERY night from the 24th July - 9th August 2020. The athletes 'unwrapped' some incredible stories from their journey's and from behind the scenes of the Games! - Check out the epic line up below!

The Olympic Games was postponed for the first time since World War II but Kerri and the athletes didn't let what would have been, be lost altogether. The likes of Ian Thorpe, Kurt Fearnley, Dawn Fraser, Louise Sauvage, Steve Hooker, Anna Meares and Andrew Gaze among many others shared stories from their Olympic experiences in a live and interactive web series initiated by Pottharst.
‘The Athlete Story’ was a collaboration between the Gold Medal Beach Volleyball player and virtual café, Cuppa of Life, which was established during COVID to bring people together and be inspired by conversation. The series aimed to keep the Olympic and Paralympic flame alive while raising money for community sport and the Australian Sports Foundation.
Every evening at 7.30pm during what would have been the Summer Games (July 24 – August 9) the Olympians spoke live in the virtual café, FREE for anyone to attend from the comfort of their own home. Attendees were able to ask questions to their favourite athletes and hear their inspirational stories. With the world still in COVID crisis, we needed new ways of experiencing the Olympic spirit, and The Athlete Story was a great place to start.

"We were so excited to be bringing this virtual event to lounge rooms all around the country and in the process supporting the Australian Sports Foundation to rebuild community sports programs, which have unfortunately been hit pretty hard during this pandemic."

About THE Australian Sports FEDERATION (ASF)
The Athlete Story, Cuppa Of Life and all our amazing guests would love for you to make a donation to the Australian Sports Foundation. Many community sports clubs will find it hard to survive after COVID-19. The financial impact is devastating Australian sport—particularly community and club sports that rely on membership fees and local sponsorships to keep the lights on. The Australian Sports Foundation’s role is to raise money for sport, and we are launching a national campaign to help community clubs and organisations access funds to recover, but to do this we need your help.
